Individual therapy is a place to slow down and look at what's actually happening. Not just the surface-level frustration or anxiety, but the patterns underneath that keep showing up across your life. Whether you're looking for an online therapist, an online counselor, or an English-speaking therapist abroad. What matters is whether the person across from you can see what you can't.

Most people who come to me are intelligent and self-aware. And surprised that insight alone hasn't been enough. The patterns that keep you stuck are usually invisible from the inside; they feel like reality, not like a pattern. That's true whether you're dealing with anxiety, depression, anger management, stress, grief, loneliness, relationship problems, self-esteem, burnout, procrastination, or something you can't quite name.

My role is to offer a perspective you can't give yourself. A way of seeing what your mind has been doing automatically, so that what felt unsolvable starts to look like a set of choices you didn't realize you had. Online counseling with a virtual counselor makes this work accessible from wherever you are. No commute, no waiting rooms, just the work itself.

"No wonder I couldn't figure this out. I wasn't even aware of half of what was going on." This is the most common reaction after a productive session.

What Sessions Look Like

Sessions are 60 minutes, conducted via HIPAA-compliant encrypted video. We meet weekly or biweekly, depending on what works for you. There's no fixed number of sessions. Some people work with me for a few months, others for longer. We'll both know when the work feels complete.

The work happens in the conversation itself, in the moments where something shifts and you see a situation differently than you did before. I'm not assigning homework or teaching coping skills. I'm paying close attention to what's happening between us, and I say what I notice. Sometimes that's a tension between what you're saying and how you're saying it. Sometimes it's a pattern that's shown up across multiple sessions. Sometimes it's something you said casually that seems more important than you realized.

We're not excavating your childhood or free-associating on a couch. We're looking at the specific ways your mind organizes experience, so that you can start making choices from a fuller picture rather than from the automatic one your brain has been running on.

Payment is out-of-pocket. I can provide receipts for your records. Before the first session, we have a brief 15-minute call to see if this feels like the right fit for you. If it is not the right fit, I will help you find someone better suited.
