A brief overview of how I work, what I treat, and how to know if this is the right fit for you.

If you’re here, something isn’t moving. Not necessarily dramatic. Just persistent. The same feeling, the same conflict, the same question, returning in different forms.

This page is meant to help you decide whether working together makes sense. Clear, practical, and without hype. Just a quick sense of fit and next steps.

A quick way to tell if this is the right kind of therapy for you:

  • You want understanding more than you want tools.
  • You sense there are patterns you can’t currently see from the inside.

If that sounds right, you’ll probably like this work.

What this therapy is

It’s a conversation designed to change what you can see. When people say they have ‘insight’ but still feel trapped, it’s usually because they can explain the problem but can’t yet see the moving parts that keep recreating it.

We look for the places you get pulled into the same stance: the same assumptions, the same self-protective moves, the same relationship dance. Once those are visible, choice becomes possible again.

What to expect

There's no homework or exercises between sessions. The work happens in the room, in the moments where something shifts and you see yourself or your situation differently than you did before.

Who this tends to fit

A lot of my clients are high-functioning people who can’t explain why life feels thinner than it should: expats, international professionals, academics, founders, couples under pressure. People who look fine from the outside but feel off from the inside.

How to start

I offer a brief 15-minute call before we begin. It is a chance to see whether the way I work makes sense for you. Just a conversation to see if this feels like the right fit for you.

FAQ

How do I know if this is a good fit?

From my side, it’s a good fit if you’re someone who needs help with something in your life and isn’t in active crisis. That’s a low bar on purpose. From your side, it’s a good fit if after a session or two you feel like I’m actually helping you.

What happens in a first session?

It’s the beginning of a real conversation. I start to understand who you are and what you’re carrying, and by the end most people have a somewhat different sense of their situation than when they came in. Sometimes that’s clarity. Sometimes it’s just a little more room to breathe.

Do you work with expats and international clients?

Yes. A major focus is expat and international life: transition stress, loneliness, identity disruption, and relationship strain abroad.

Do you work with couples?

Yes. Couples sessions focus on recurring cycles, communication breakdowns, resentment, and patterns that keep repeating.

Is this appropriate for emergencies?

No. If you’re in immediate danger or at imminent risk, use local emergency services. See the crisis page for resources.

What Clients Say

“I came in thinking I knew what my issues were. I’d been over them a hundred times. But those were just the things I could already see. Aaron helped me notice what I couldn’t, and that’s where everything actually started to change.”

“I didn’t think online therapy could really work. How do you feel a connection through a screen? But I’ve done in-person therapy before, and honestly, I’ve felt more understood by Aaron than by any therapist I’ve sat across from. He listens in a way that’s hard to describe until you experience it.”

“A few years ago I suddenly developed prolonged panic attacks but couldn’t begin to understand what had caused them. Having been in therapy in the past, and being a counseling intern student, I felt I had exhausted my resources trying to figure out “What is wrong with me?” I can honestly say Aaron provides a form of counseling that is difficult to find anywhere else regarding efficacy. Not only has his approach been effective, but he also has provided me a safe space to explore aspects about myself I may not otherwise have felt able to. I cannot recommend him enough as he has helped me feel more myself than ever before.”

“I’d been in and out of therapy for years. Different therapists, different approaches, none of it really stuck. Aaron helped me understand more in a few months than all of them combined. And he talked to me like a normal person, not like all this weird therapy-speak.”
