I have Tourette syndrome. I have had it my entire life. I know what it is to suppress, to hide, to perform normalcy while your body is doing something you did not authorize. And I know that the hardest part is not the tics themselves. It is the shame, the anger, the rigid control, and the exhaustion of constantly monitoring yourself. Most therapy for Tourette focuses on tic management: behavioral protocols, habit reversal, CBIT. These can reduce the tics. They cannot reach what the tics have done to you as a person.

I have TS. I help adults work through the shame, the anger, and the rigidity that come with it. Not tic reduction. The whole person.

I work with adults who have Tourette syndrome, not on the tics but on the person who has been living with them. The shame. The anger at a body that will not cooperate. The rigid self-monitoring that extends far beyond the tics into every domain of life.
